HAI THAR WORDPRESS

I’m back. :)

Let’s do this again, shall we?

I am sorely tempted to delete my previous posts. Not because I want to erase them from memory and from the internet forever — quite the contrary, I am bad at erasing things, and I usually love to keep stuff even if it’s painful to keep them. It’s just because I want to start over with this whole writing at a blog thing.

You know what? I’ve been starting over for a long time. I start over, and then forget to update, and then start over, and then forget to update, and then so on and so forth.

I started blogging at 17, I became good at it and kept daily rambling blog posts for three or four years. And then I stopped, because I realized things are getting too personal. After that I attempted to make another blog — this one — while keeping my old livejournal, which was for fandom, geekiness and weirdness only. But I stopped updating that too. Which brings me to the present. Now.

Now I kind of want to write again. Kind of being the operative words here. I don’t want to say, oh, I’m going to write daily from now on, and I’ll keep this blog interesting but at the same time impersonal, and I’ll get my groove back. But if I say that most likely that will not happen. So let me just say,

I’ll start again, okay?

I’ll start today, and see if I can write or post something tomorrow. And then the next day, the other day, etc. I just miss thinking and writing — but not writing for money. Just writing, writing with no promises, no expectations. Just writing what’s on my mind.

Hmm, maybe I won’t delete my posts. No harm keeping them anyway.

De-de-december

You know it’s almost (in my case, it’s three days away!) your birthday when you unconsciously think all things will work out for you during the week.

I was planning to post a picture of a fortune cookie, because I love fortune cookies and the little papers with sayings and supposedly lucky numbers. I found this awesome Filipino brand called Gold Coin that only produces fortune cookies. And their fortune cookies are delicious! :) But I still haven’t taken a picture of it, so I’ll post more pictures on the next post. Hopefully I don’t get lazy.

DIY: Purse/Bag Organizer

I bought a sewing machine last weekend with my mom’s help. This is after days of thinking of getting one and after years (yes, years!) of pining for a nifty sewing machine.

But the thing is, I actually didn’t know how to use one. The last time I tried threading a machine was in a Home Economics class in sixth grade. So naturally, I forgot all about that and I had to start all over again. After a day of wasting thread and just generally failing at using a sewing machine, I figured it all out. And what do you know, I actually made something. Hee :D

Tada! A purse/bag organizer:

Bag organizer

See, my wallet is nicely tucked in the far right corner, and my comb and ethyl alcohol  are on the far left. There are six pockets all in all, if we’re going to count the little pen pocket.

I used a thick brown fabric with a cute sheep pattern, haha. It was expensive, but I couldn’t find a cheaper fabric that was as thick as denim. I think it turned out well. I admit it’s not the best organizer (I should have made it longer/bigger), but it’s my first time. So yay for me making something!!

Here are more pictures:

This is what it looks like if you fold it.

This is what it looks like inside of my bag. No more clutter! Heehee.

If you’re wondering where I got the idea, I got it from here. It has complete instructions and pictures so it’s easy. Cutoutandkeep.net is now my new favorite site. :D

Halloween? Nope, but a birthday it is

plastic jack o' lantern

We don’t celebrate Halloween in this country, but I like the color orange, pumpkins, and Jack o’ lanterns, hence the picture. :D

And happy 26th birthday to my favorite (and only) older brother! I don’t feel like he’s 26, and I’m sure he doesn’t feel it too. We act like we’re 10 and 12, haha.
